Getting the right talents on your crafted weapons can be a frustrating task unless you are incredibly lucky. How important is that “god-like” Brutal roll on your Vector anyways? Find out for yourself using the table below.

When considering the percent damage increase from each weapon talent you must also consider how often you can realistically maintain uptime on the talent. For example, can you land 100% headshots to gain the full 15% damage increase from Brutal? Can you really maintain 100% health to benefit from Vicious the full time in a PVP scenario? Fierce and Deadly are much stronger than they appear because you will always benefit fully from them as long as your shot hits the target.

Which weapon talents increase your damage the most?

It can be difficult to compare the actual DPS increase from different weapon talents. Fierce (crit chance) and Deadly (crit hit damage) are both good, but which one is best? Brutal is great on an SMG but is it also great on a Marksman Rifle? The DPS gain from the weapon talents shifts depending upon your stats so a separate chart has been created for SMGs and Marksman Rifles to help you understand the difference. For example, since Marksman Rifles have passive headshot damage the DPS benefit of Brutal is significantly reduced.

Word of caution: When considering the percent damage increase from each weapon talent you must also consider how often you can realistically maintain uptime on the talent. For example, are you able to land 100% of your headshots to gain the full 15% damage increase from Brutal? Can you really maintain 100% health to benefit from Vicious during a PVP battle? Remember that Fierce and Deadly are much stronger than they appear because you will always gain the full benefit from them as long as your shot hits the target.
